Dental Office Requirements for BLS CPR Washington State

Washington State has very specific requirements for dental staff providing direct patient care in an in-office or out-patient setting and require that they must hold a current and valid health care provider basic life support (BLS) certification. Washington state requires hands on skills session portion for your card to be valid and must be from an approved provider course. Online only BLS/CPR cards do not protect your license or your dental business. Dentists are required to make sure that staff with direct patient care have their BLS/CPR certification within 45 days of hire and make sure they renew their BLS card every 2-years and/or follow the standards if they change. Dawn of A New Day Safety Training and Consulting makes it easy for you and your dental team to certify every 2 years and you get your e-card certification same day. We offer 2 different format BLS/CPR classes 2 days a week in our office in Gig Harbor and we also travel all over Washington State bringing the class to your office to get everyone on the same renewal cycle. Check out our other services that L&I requires that you teach your staff yearly; Chemical Hazards and Bloodborne Pathogens classes designed specifically for your practice. We also help businesses set up their safety program and emergency plans as required by L&I. Call Dawn at 253-358-8217 or 509-607-8122 to learn more.
